'It won't keep me out forever' says injured top defender

This week the team has lost strikers Sam Scott and Hannah Shaw, Hannah due to fear of injury from her own team and Sam due to other commitments. So the upcoming debut of J.K. and his famous cultured left foot is considerably better timed than a Colin sliding tackle.

Top defender Tom Walker has been missing from the ROIl Madrid back four virtually since its existence. With the main part of the season coming up (a possible game against some teachers) we thought an update on the situation was important.

When questioned about his injury, (via a text message I sent this morning about 9.30) top defender Tom Walker stated:

'(It's) ok as far as I can tell. The swelling has gone down a bit, getting a new cast on friday so I should be able to put some weight on it then'.

So all good news there then.

With the arrival of Tom McKenzie coinciding with the introduction of club fines the money is stacking up and when we reach the next transfer window (transfer of beer over the bar) we should have a reasonable amount to spend. Fines collected currently stand at £3.50.

If possible could everybody bring two shirts to tomorrows training to attempt to get everybody on the same team wearing the same colour. One red and one blue would seem the most sensible.

On a lighter note I went to Newcastle yesterday to help pick up a boat. Although I was unable to scout out any new players I did discover that Newcastle is considerably more slanted than I had imagined.

  2. That layabout isn't a top defender in my eyes until he has proved himself on the pitch. Rob Gibbeson is the star defender right now so Tom `lard arse` Walker has a long way to go to catch up with the cultured Gibbeson.

  3. Well unfortunately i may not get chance to prove myself "on the pitch" as you so generously put it as this one might keep me out permanently. A myriad of injuries throughout my illustrious sporting career have left their mark and this may be the final nail in the coffin, only time will tell (my physio might have some say on the subject).

Whilst my "layabout" status may be true due to my current predicament i feel this to be a slur on my good name, you sir will be hearing from my solicitor.

P.S if thats you Huggins have you got a job yet ya bum?!
